The Monument to "space conquerors" was erected in 1964 in honour of the first artificial Earth satellite launching.At the foot of the obelisk is a granite monument to te great Russian scientist and founder of theoretical cosmonautics - Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (1857-1935).The architects M.Barsch and A. kolchin, sculptor A. Faidysh-Krandievskiy.

這張明信片的圖案是在俄羅斯的太空紀念博物館的紀念碑前拍攝，此紀念碑是為了紀念人類史上第一顆人造衛星發射，紀念碑表面附著鈦金屬於1964年落成，而前方的雕像人物名為"Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (1857-1925)"，火箭及航太科學家，被稱為人類宇宙航行之父。

俄羅斯郵政曾經在2009年10月01日發行一套以俄羅斯各地的克里姆林宮為主題的普通郵票(共12枚自黏郵票)，2014年01月24重新發行此套郵票。明信片上的郵票是其中的普斯科夫克里姆林宮(面值6)及羅斯托夫克里姆林宮(面值3)。

上面右圖的戳章"МЕЖДУНАРОДНЫЙ"代表國際(International)的意思。
