In celebration of 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Republic of China (R.O.C. / Taiwan)

On October 10, 2011, Chunghwa post issued a set of four stamps and a souvenir sheet.

Stamp.
The set of four stamps depict the four major stages in the development of the R.O.C. respectively, the above picture from left to right are as follows:(1) The Founding of the R.O.C., (2) Agricultural and Economic Development, (3) Transportation Infrastructure, and (4) Hi-Tech Development.


Sheet composition: 16 (4 × 4)
A sheet composition which includes four sets of stamps. The Presidential Office Building is shown in the background.


Souvenir sheet.
The designs and special features of the souvenir sheet follow: (1) the national flag, (2) the Presidential Office Building, (3) a portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, (4) the R.O.C. constitution, and (5) the Chinese wordings “100th Anniversary of the Founding of the R.O.C.” is hot stamped with optical variable film.

The difference between 1st and 2nd
The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) issued uncut commemorative NT$100 banknote sheets in souvenir folders in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China on January 6, 2011. Each folder, comprising three uncut commemorative NT$100 banknotes, costs NT$500.

The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) issued a second edition of uncut commemorative NT$100 banknote sheets in souvenir folders on September 8, 2011. Each folder, comprising three uncut commemorative NT$100 banknotes, costs NT$500. In this edition, the images of Sun Moon Lake and Taroko National Park featured on the inside of the protective sleeve are replaced by those of Twin Hearts Stone Weir and Basaltic Rocks in Penghu and Dabajian Mountain to introduce more scenic wonders of Taiwan to the world. The other specifications remain the same as the January 6, 2011 edition.

NT$100 banknote
On January 6, 2011, the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) issued a commemorative NT$100 banknote for circulation in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The design is no different from the ordinary NT$100 banknote (the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen on the obverse, and the Chung-Shan Building on the reverse.), except for the Chinese wordings "In celebration of the 100 years of the Founding of the Republic of China." in the reverse of the banknote.

October 3, 2011, Guatemala issued a stamp in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China (Taiwan) (2.00 GTQ).
